Turns out the speculation was true, you don’t have to be an a-lister to get attention from Comcast online. I must say, I’m impressed. I’ve never seen another company react this way before, and they deserve full praise for such actions. This is one of those stories that I will definitely be sure to echo in the future. Well done, no snarky or cynical remarks for you today!
OK, I’ll give you the snarky, cynical post for the day. So we just moved and to download Comcast’s McAfee security suite I need to log in. So I did an online chat last night and was given Lisa Young’s email address and reset password. I told the dude I am not Lisa Young (Though, I was Melissa at the time) and she must be the previous resident. He said no, don’t worry we can change the name once you log in. So, I log in and there’s Lisa’s email to and from her uncle. Why ask for my name, Soc, and Comcast account number if you’re not going to validate it. Anyway, he said he couldn’t help further and that I should call in. Doesn’t look like Lisa is currently using this account, so hopefully the reset password won’t matter and there wasn’t any private information for me to learn or share. But sheesh!
Hello Dave Zats,
I am sorry for the experience. I will be happy to reach out to my contacts to get this resolved. Please feel free to contact me so that I can get more information from you.
Thanks in advance for the opportunity to assist!
